Hi! My name is Jennifer Pritchard. I found my love for photography when I was just a little girl. My mom gave me one of those old style flat film camera’s (it was hot pink might I add) with the little flash mounted on the top. I took pictures of all the typical things a little girl might…my stuffed animals, grass, random photo’s of the sky…you name it. From that point on I was hooked. My mom was not happy with all the film I used to say the least!
In high school I took film photography and learned all the basics of photography. I begged my parents for a darkroom…they said ugh NO! so after graduation I went on to study web and graphic design but it wasn’t for me. At this point digital photography had become all the rage and I decided to pursue what I loved so much. I changed schools and started going to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Now after graduating with my Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography I started my own business. Capture the Moment Photography was born of my love of capturing the moments of special occasions. In my spare time I love to work on Commercial Fashion and Editorial Shoots as well as Senior Photography and Family Portraits but I specialize in Weddings.
I am now married to my high school sweetheart who just so happens to be a Graphic Designer (hello, benefits!) and we have two great boys ages 5 and 15. I also adopted and rescued a 100 lb Siberian Husky. He’s my 3rd kid. In 2008 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis but I let that be my motivation to do as much as I can for as long as I can! MS can’t keep this girl down! I love to spend my free time shopping (which my husband hates), watching lots of awesome TV (love Game of Thrones!), and just hanging out having a good time (annoying my friends with my witty personality). I often become really good friends with my clients. I love that I can make such lasting relationships! I can’t wait to meet you!
